Do you want an agreeable dog? Some dogs are naturally very friendly, while others are more aloof. Depending on your needs or the time you have to attend to them, you could need a dog that is more independent, or more loyal to you.
Who is the pet for? When selecting a pet for for young people, your family, you’ll need to get a dog that is good with people, especially kids. Certain dog breeds don’t play with kids, while some breeds are more aggressive than a family setting will allow.
Retrievers are friendly dogs, and are loyal, protective, and loving, good requirements for a family pet. Because they are larger dogs, they should get time outdoors, and so are good for families who are outside frequently.
Collies are good with families as well. They are known as intelligent dogs, patient, and obedient, ideal around smaller kids.
Do you want avoid a lot of pet maintenance? Some pets need more maintenance than others. For example, poodles will require special grooming. Some dogs have health problems such as Dalmatians and dysplasia, that may make care awkward in the future.
