Like we are cranky and more likely to act up when feeling sick, your dog or cat needs to be kept away from young children. Your pet needs an opportunity to get better, and putting it in the middle of a group of people won’t help it. And this applies to any occasion when an cat or dog is sick.

Including little ones in the pet’s day to day life, such as in grooming, feeding, cleaning, and likewise will aid the young tykes to develop a closer bond. The result is that as the young children come to love the pet, they are less likely to hurt it. But, care should be taken with very small children to assist them, so that the pet gets proper attention.

Growing up with a dog or cat is a wonderful memory for young ones. With just a bit of thought and care, it can also be a wonderful experience for your pet, too.
