Cat Or Dog Proofing Your Place (Part 2)

Pets are interested and curious about the objects they find, much like people. But that curiosity can be dangerous. For instance, items on high shelves, fragile figurines and objects, a fragile object like a vase on a table, and other items are an accident waiting to occur. Remember, if it is easy to bump into and knock it over, it is too possible for a jumping cat or roaming dog to hit it, and the end result is a valuable broken.

You have to be alert as your pet goes into certain areas of the home. For instance, you likely won’t want them in the garage, since there are so many possible toxins (such as oil or anti-freeze spills). Closets and cabinets with dangerous chemicals must also be put off limits, perhaps with child proof locks.

While petproofing your place is a lot of effort, protecting your family’s friend makes it all worth while. With just a few moments of care, you can aid your cat or dog, and avoid serious emergencies.
