A Guide to Finding the Perfect Pet For Yourself (Part 1)
|
A few suggestions to choosing are:
How free is the dog to roam and live comfortably in your household? If you have a smaller house or condo, you may need to find a smaller dog. Additionally, larger dogs require room for running, which is a problem in a smaller location.
What will you and your pet do? If you’re a hunting fan, you’ll want a breed that is ideal for that. Dogs that are bred especially for hunting include retrievers, hounds, pointers, and trackers. So if you stay at home, go outdoors a lot, this will influence the kind of dog you may wish to bring home.
Who is the pet for? When selecting a pet for your family, for young people, you will have to take care to get a dog that has a good temperament around people, including children. Some dogs do not play well in a family setting, while some dogs are too aggressive for families.
Retrievers are likable dogs, and are considered protective, loyal, and caring, good requirements for a family pet. Because they are bigger dogs, they benefit from being outdoors, and so are good for households that are outside a lot.
