Making Sure That Your Pet Isn’t Harmed By Poisoned Food (Part 2)

Self examining your dog or cat for yourself is a good step. For instance, watch if they they walk fine (no limping), check your pet’s fur, searching for changes (such as hair loss), are their eyes or nose runny, look for foul odors, and check other change of their appearance. While not everything will be completely fine with your pet, so pay attention to any changes, as these changes may alert you to a problem beginning.

It is vital that you find immediate attention as soon as you find anything unusual. In the case with the contaminated petfood, the main health issue is kidney damage. Kidney failure in pets is non-reversible, and so the earlier you treat it the better. With a major health problem like this, early detection is vital – and that’s the case for any pet health problem.

With the petfood controversy, cat and dog health is a national concern. A pet caregiver will always want to be alert looking after their pet, and always watch for their health – to make sure it stays good.
