Keeping Your Pets Clear Of Poisonous Plants (Part 2)

Cats need to stay away from: rubber plant, poppy, eggplant, marigold, aloe vera, philodendron, evergreen, java beans, honeysuckle, yews belladonna, poinsettia, daffodil (bulb and plant), lily of the valley, baby’s breath, iris, easter lily, sweet pea, morning glory, mushrooms, chrysanthemum, black-eyed susan, jasmine, peace lillies, rhubarb, onion, umbrella plants, apple seeds, potato, chinese evegreen, lily spider, holly, oriental lily, tobacco (such as ashtray butts), english ivy and other ivys, rhododendron, tiger lily, tulip plants and bulbs, amaryllis bulbs, crotons, mistletoe, asparagus fern, and eucalyptus. These would include many plants in your home and panty.

Note that this list is not complete. If you are in doubt about a particular plant, consult knowledgeable friends, research at your library, or on the Internet, or if all else fails, just get rid of the plant.

Even if you truly value a favorite plant, your pet must come first. If any plant is putting them at a health problem, it’s an easy choice what you must do, and make the correct decision for your pet’s wellbeing.
