Examining your dog or cat for yourself is a first step. For instance, see if they they walk properly (no limping), is there any discharge from their nose or eyes, brush your pet’s fur, looking for changes like hair loss, look for unusual or bad odors, and check other change of their appearance. While not everything will likely be perfect with your cat or dog, so pay careful attention to any changes, as these changes may alert you to a problem beginning.
Although the current dog or cat food scare is raising awareness of animal care, a pet caregiver will always want to be alert looking after his or her pet, and watch for their health - to make sure it’s always good.
