Keep Your Pets Clear Of Poisonous Plants! (Part 2)

Dogs need to avoid completely: apricot, walnuts and other nuts, croton, black-eyed susan, aloe, holly, honeysuckle, hydrangea, easter lilly, english ivy, daffodil, jasmine, ficus, potato, poinsettia, mother-in-laws tongue, mushrooms, umbrella plant, lily of the valley, iris, philodendron, apple, baby’s breath, green potatoes (especially the skins), plum, cherry, apricot, peach, pits, tomato plants (and green tomatoes), almond, hyacinth, schefflera, apple, pear seeds, mushrooms, chinese evergreen, corn plant, wisteria, peace lily, jade, mountain laurel, virginia creeper, and yews, which can include a wide variety of plants in your house and larder.

This list is by no means every item. If you’re concerned about any plants, consult knowledgeable friends, research at your library and on the Internet, or if all else fails, just get rid of the item.

Remember that even you may truly value a favorite plant, your cat or dog must come first. If a plant is putting them at a health risk, it is an easy choice what to do, and make the right decision for your pet’s safety.
