Try not to delay in saying goodbye. Make sure to act as if you will be back soon and your cat or dog will worry less and enjoy her stay more.

When it’s time to pick up your pet after your trip keep in mind that they’ll doubtless be excited. Take a few hours for ‘down time’. Do not be in a rush to feed them, as that, along with their excitement to see you might bring on some discomfort. They will soon settle back into the usual pattern of life.
